Qualifications Summary:
Seeking Ph.D. or M.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology Studies, from an accredited college or university, with one to two years related experience. Must be detail oriented; exercise good judgment skills; ability to collect and analyze data with precision; must be able to communicate effectively and manage projects; ability to conduct scientific literature reviews, independently pursue research techniques, and prepare manuscripts and grants.
Will perform a wide variety of cell and molecular laboratory techniques to include: small animal studies, (i.e. mouse colony breeding, genotyping, and tissue harvesting), usage of radioisotopes, and toxic chemicals; will prepare charts, graphs and/or models involving experimental data; will work with mice, feeding, injecting, counting and other mouse duties; will work with chemicals, human tissue and cell lines; will collect and analyze data; will discuss findings with other scientists or personnel; will provide technical to research and development department or faculty in planning future directions for research; will represent organization at professional meetings and conferences; will prepare reports and papers of completed projects for publication in technical journals, presentation to regulatory agencies or at conferences, or use in further research activities; will participate in decision making regarding research; develop research plans; will design experiments and outline research procedures; will read manuals and articles in journals. May perform additional duties as required.
