Vibrant is seeking a Director of Digital Ad Sales with expertise in developing strategic media relationships with key regional interactive agency and client decision makers. Vibrant is making an aggressive commitment to the L.A. market and, as such, is seeking a top-talent sales executive to hasten the company’s already forceful growth in the market. The desired candidate will be well entrenched in both the Automotive and Entertainment advertising verticals as well as be well-connected across the broad ad agency community. This senior level sales executive will also be well positioned to evolve with the market as the Company expands our presence in the L.A. area. Ideally, the candidate will evolve from the day-to-day Sales Executive to a combination Sales Manager/Executive role as new hires are brought on-board.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Navigate Interactive Agency and Client organizations to find key executive decision makers
• Build awareness of Vibrant’s offerings and capabilities with the L.A. market
• Establish Vibrant as the leader of in-text and contextual video advertising solutions
• Manage negotiations
• Facilitate complex media deals across various categories with particular emphasis on and expertise of the Automotive and Entertainment categories
• Strategically develop Vibrant’s presence in the greater Los Angeles and Southern California region
A majority of the role will include: preparing and researching for client meetings; traveling to client sites; checking inventory; creating proposals while working with the client’s budget; confirming final buy, as well as conducting client follow-up.
Requirements:
• 7-10 years of online ad sales experience with at least 2 years of core sales experience developing relationships within the Automotive and Entertainment categories and other clients endemic to the Southern California region
• Relevant outside sales experience calling on Interactive Advertising Agencies and Clients
• Proven experience in managing complex, multi-faceted sales situations with client executives
• Understand the value of brand based advertising and marketing
• Show a high degree of self-motivation and work well within an individual and team environment
• Must have a history of quota attainment
• A proven track record of exceeding sales targets
• Must be well-known in the L.A. interactive advertising community and highly regarded for his/her customer focused approach
• Must possess a strategic sense that will fully leverage Vibrant’s industry leading, keyword based technologies
• Internet savvy and proficient with a sales/CRM database (Microsoft Dynamics preferred) and office productivity tools (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high-level of initiative
• Excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills
• Demonstrated self-direction and ability to work autonomously
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Must have a valid Driver’s License
