Vibrant is seeking 2 Sr. Java Developers with 5+ years Java development experience that have a deep understanding of the language and core Java API’s. They must be an excellent programmer who has a passion for technology. This person will be working on the IntelliTXT advertising platform which serves billions of pages to over 120 million unique users a month. The Sr. Java Developers will interact with both technical and commercial team members to help understand requirements and develop further ideas. Our engineers are actively encouraged to propose new ideas and work with relevant departments across the company to deliver projects.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Java development
• Investigate, manage, resolve bugs and integration issues
• Hands-on approach to identifying and optimizing existing code
•To pro-actively deliver project work to improve the product or add functionality as required
• Prioritization of workload
Requirements:
• 5+ years Java development
• Excellent core J2SE 6 programming ability (EJB, Swing experience not relevant)
• Extensive experience of writing JSP’s and Servlets
• Experience of developing fast, highly transactional, multi-threaded applications
• Good working knowledge of (D)HTML and Javascript
• Good knowledge of SQL (MySQL)
• Code optimization and profiling tools (eg. JProfiler)
• JUnit testing framework
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Text analysis / semantic processing, experience with the Eclipse IDE, subversion, selenium and Linux experience preferred but not a requirement
