Infrastructure Cabling Engineer- Position must have three years experience in fiber and copper cable design. Must have familiarity with different Categories of copper cabling and protocols and applications supported by each. Must be able to distinguish between the different types of fiber optic cabling and know the most common ways to tell the difference. Individual must have basic knowledge of wireless LAN and VoIP Voice over Internet Protocol technologies.

Must have experience in both inside and outside plant cabling. Individual must have the ability to work in both Visio and Autocad to create layouts of equipment rooms, back boards and racks. Must be able to read blue prints and be familiar with common architectural and electrical symbols.

Looking for an individual that has experience in calculating both electrical and mechanical loads for IT rooms, and is familiar with the terms associated with both.

This position will require travel to multiple sites through extending between Bakersfield and San Diego sometimes two or three on the same day. Prefer someone who is a Registered Communications Distribution Designer. Position requires an individual who is a self starter and can perform the job on a daily basis without direction from others.
