Inside Sales Specialists place outbound calls and are responsible for identifying and qualifying sales opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Place outbound calls to market to build relationships with contacts and garnish leads
- Follow up on Marketing-generated leads
- Educate prospects on Medidata and Medidata Rave
- Maintain records of correspondence in sales force automation tool
- Research companies on Internet, industry publications, and third party tools to identify new targets
- Support Area Sales Directors to identify and mature opportunities within individual territories
- Coordinate warm lead hand off from outside lead generation group to Area Sales Directors
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of computer usage in a web-based environment
- 3+ years of previous technical telesales experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Solid analytical and technical skills
- Exposure to formal sales methodologies
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Self-motivating, able to assume responsibility and work autonomously in a professional manner
- Bachelor's Degree in the Life Sciences, Business or Computer Science preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
