ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Candidate must be competent in Flux Core Stick and TIG Welding.
n Performs welding and fabrication, maintenance on rig equipment, assists mechanic/crane operator/electrician when needed, and performs general rig maintenance.
n Welds wellheads and drawworks; repairs high-pressure lines; repairs mud lines, water lines, and centrifugal pumps; and replaces rusted out plates.
n Builds and replaces walkways / handrails / tool boxes / pallet forks, installs "I" - beams for hoist / wellheads, and stands for office and galley equipment.
n Performs pipe fitting and pipe welding.
n Miscellaneous job duties determined by the rig manager.
n Cut sand welds bell nipple to fit each location of well, brazes fitting for refrigerant and air conditioning, and keeps count of full and empty oxygen tanks, acetylene, welding leads. Monitors tools, cutting hose and all steel on rig.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
n Must possess a High School diploma.
n Must possess the training and experience required of a Welder to perform the functions of the job as shown above.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
n Must possess basic math skills.

n Must posses good reasoning ability.
n Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of himself/herself or others.
n Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws, regulations and company’s safety policies.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
n Must possess the necessary certificates, licenses, and registrations to safely perform the functions of a Welder.
