Corporate Human Resources is looking for a Director, Human Resources whose primary purpose is to provide strategic HR support and facility HR leadership for the Orthopaedics Business. This position will serve as a consultant to staff and management in application of HR best practices. Initiatives include organizational development, workforce planning, leadership development, succession planning, and associate relations.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provides direct HR oversight for facilities within the Business (Indianapolis & Columbia City, IN; Chaumont, France; Orvin, Switzerland; Corporate Orthopaedics functions).
- Incorporates, integrates and implements HR globalization by country, leveraging between the businesses.
- Provides direction and guidance to management in union and issue-free initiatives.
- Develops and directs the strategic HR plan and Organization design initiatives that support eh Orthopaedics goals and objectives.
- Participates in and coach/counsels leaders of people on performance related issues and conflict resolution to ensure issues are resolved constructively, fairly and in a timely manner.
- Leads development and training initiatives to coordinate training strategy (programs and implementation) required to meet Orthopaedics goals. Develops, coordinates, conducts training as required that expand skills and competencies at all levels of the business.
- Ensures HR compliance with GB policies and procedures and compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Develops a communication strategy and implementation plan that promotes GB and Orthopaedics objectives.
- Provides guidance and leadership for Orthopaedics and corporate HR initiatives.
- Maintains a key role in the talent management process and succession planning implementation.
- Hires key openings to support the Orthopaedics business.
- Works to ensure recognition systems are being executed.
- Ensures a team focus with peers/colleagues and business partners in accomplishing GB goals and objectives.
- Develops HR integration strategy and tactical plan to ensure the successful integration of acquired companies.
Qualifications:
- Education: 4 year degree in related field, MBA preferred
- Experience: 10-12 years in related field with a minimum of 5 years experience in a leadership role.
- Specialized Knowledge Needed: Excellent written, communication and leadership skills.
- Other: 50% travel required, including to Europe
